Description:

Hanuman Chalisa is a poetic composition in praise of Hanuman, consisting of 40 Shlokas, penned by Goswami Tulasidas. It is believed that he composed the Hanuman Chalisa during the Kumbhamela in Haridwar while in a state of Samadhi.

Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa is traditionally done after taking a shower in the morning or evening. Particularly during challenging planetary periods, such as Shani's Sade Sathi, Saturn Mahadasa, and antradasas, chanting the Hanuman Chalisa is said to aid in overcoming difficulties and obstacles.

Anecdotes surrounding the origins of this practice are intriguing. According to one story, Ravana confined Shani in a prison in Lanka after being cautioned about the potential malevolent influence of Lord Shani. When Hanuman visited Lanka, he liberated Shani from captivity. In gratitude, Shani pledged that devotees who worship Hanuman will be safeguarded from his adverse effects.

Results are said to be attained through steadfast faith in God and the right attitude. Many followers have reported miraculous experiences following their chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa.
